Bonzo Vaults: Strategy and UI Updates
Two new blog posts outline meaningful updates across both vault mechanics and the front-end experience.
On the strategy side, several Single Asset DEX vaults have shifted toward a more defensive posture. Active ranges have been widened to roughly 40 percent concentration, a 3 percent move within a rolling 20-minute window now triggers Defensive Mode, and the inventory guardrail has been tightened from 77 percent to 81 percent. These changes aim to reduce impermanent loss-driven drawdowns and forced inventory conversion during sharp market moves, even if that results in lower headline fee APRs in calmer conditions.

On the interface side, Vaults received a substantial UI and data update. Dual Asset DEX vaults now display APY calculations based on realized yield data rather than only estimated pool APR conversions. Single Asset DEX vaults have transitioned performance tracking to primary asset-denominated values, simplifying how users interpret position growth. Charting has been streamlined, tooltips simplified, token ratio visualization improved, and a new 30-day Hold vs Vault comparison has been introduced to provide clearer performance context over a longer timeframe.

Together, these updates reflect a focus on risk management, transparency, and clearer performance reporting.

Hedera Hello Future Apex Hackathon 2026
Bonzo Finance is an official partner of the Hedera Hello Future Apex Hackathon 2026, a five week virtual event running from February 17 through March 23 with a $250,000 total prize pool.
The hackathon brings together new developers, legacy builders, and returning ecosystem participants to collaborate across multiple tracks, including AI and Agents, DeFi and Tokenization, Sustainability, Open Track, and Legacy Builders. Participants receive access to live mentorship, workshops, and AMAs throughout the event.
Bonzo Finance is sponsoring an $8,000 bounty focused on building an Intelligent Keeper Agent using the Hedera Agent Kit. The challenge centers on evolving DeFi vault automation beyond static parameters and simple harvest logic. Builders are encouraged to design agents that can ingest external data such as price feeds, volatility metrics, or sentiment signals, and autonomously interact with Bonzo Vault contracts in a more adaptive way.
This positions Bonzo Vaults as programmable infrastructure within Hedera DeFi, inviting experimentation at the intersection of AI agents and onchain liquidity management.

On March 2, Gaurang, Co-Founder and CTO of Bonzo Finance Labs, hosted a workshop on using AI agents to design and deploy new Bonzo Vault strategies across Hedera DeFi.

Hedera EVM and HTS on Kraken
Kraken has begun rolling out support for Hedera EVM and HTS tokens, with $DOVU becoming the first HTS token listed. DOVU deposits are now live, with trading launched shortly after.
Beyond the listing itself, DOVU activity has been notable across the Hedera ecosystem. On February 28, DOVU transactions accounted for 14.42 percent of total HTS transactions on Hedera mainnet.
On SaucerSwap, DOVU has surpassed $100 million in total trade volume, positioning it as one of the more active markets on the platform, with activity tied to real carbon credit infrastructure rather than purely speculative volume.
DOVU is also available on Bonzo Finance with HBAR/DOVU and DOVU/HBAR paired Bonzo Vaults on app.bonzo.finance/vaults.

Stripe's Co-Founders Say Blockchains Need 1 Billion TPS
Stripe co-founders Patrick and John Collison said blockchains may need to scale to 1 billion transactions per second to support an AI agent economy.
Their view is that autonomous AI agents will transact continuously, creating machine-to-machine payment volume far beyond human-driven activity.
For context, Visa peaks around 65,000 TPS. Ethereum mainnet processes roughly 15-30 TPS. Hederaβs network has recorded up to 3,302 transactions per second in peak throughput tests, with architectural capacity targeting 10,000 TPS and beyond.
Stripe has already integrated USDC, and this framing positions stablecoins and programmable settlement as core infrastructure for AI-driven commerce.
The broader implication is long term scalability across execution, data availability, and interoperability if blockchains are to support that kind of volume.

Ethereum Releases βStrawmapβ Roadmap
The Ethereum Foundation released a long-term roadmap, the βStrawmap,β focused on scaling, privacy, and quantum resistance.
Targets include around 10,000 TPS at L1 and up to 10 million TPS across L2s, using tools like embedded zkEVMs and data availability sampling.
The plan also introduces quantum-resistant cryptography and outlines multiple forks through 2029 to implement these upgrades.
The key theme is a structured, multi-year push toward higher throughput, stronger privacy, and post-quantum security.
