Season 4 Points Program Announced

Bonzo Finance announced that Season 4 of the points incentive program will be coming online after the current Season 3 ends on September 3rd.

The season points programs have performed well, with users being big fans of the competitive leaderboard format. The program uses HCS-20 points logged directly on Hedera to ensure auditability.

Utilizing these points programs as part of the widespread distribution of the governance token feels very effective, especially in comparison to providing liquidity incentives directly on the markets. An adjustment to tokenomics will be made to better outline the sources of allocations for Season 4 and distributions.

wHBAR Security Advisory

Bonzo Finance shared a security memo published by SaucerSwap Labs on Friday clarifying best practices around usage of the wrapped HBAR contracts across the ecosystem.

For retail users on Bonzo Finance and SaucerSwap, their funds are safe and no action is needed. This update is mainly for developers and liquidation bot operators.

Dead Pixels Ghost Club Achieves Global NFT Dominance

The Dead Pixels Ghost Club NFT collection generated 1.6 million HBAR in daily trading volume, ranking 5th globally among NFT collections on all chains. Floor prices are up 140% this month, and they're flipping collections like Pudgy Penguins, doing more volume than any NFT collection on Base this week.

SWIFT Pilots Real-World Blockchain Implementation

SWIFT has confirmed that upcoming trials will shift from controlled testing to more real-world implementation with banking partners across North America, Europe, and Asia. Participating banks will gain access to digital wallets for settlement and enable them to transfer tokenized cash and process payments using systems resembling blockchain architecture.

Tokenized Gold Gains Momentum on Aave

Aave is now supporting tokenized gold through assets like PAX Gold tokens, representing 1 ounce of physical gold stored in secure vaults. Users can lend and borrow tokenized gold as collateral.

This development reflects the broader movement toward the tokenization of real-world assets across DeFi. The Hedera Foundation recently announced Swarm Markets, bringing equities on-chain as tokenized assets, positioning the network as a hub for traditional asset tokenization. These innovations bridge traditional finance with decentralized protocols, creating new opportunities for both retail and institutional participants.
