Bonzo Finance hit an all-time high Total Value Locked (TVL) of $44.38M, up from $32M last week. Globally, Bonzo Finance ranks #56 among lending protocols and remains the #3 DeFi protocol on Hedera.

💸 Borrowing Perks & Liquidity Incentives

Borrowing activity is thriving! Updated Loan-to-Value (LTV) rates are live for $KARATE, $STEAM, $PACK, $DOVU, and $HST:

  • LTV configured to 30%: Borrow up to 30% of the value of these assets supplied as collateral.

  • Liquidation Threshold Buffer: Conservative liquidation thresholds of 11% - 18% add additional protection against liquidation.

  • Supply APY: $KARATE (1.35%), $DOVU (2.43%), $STEAM (5.55%)

🚀 TGE Updates: Transparency and Progress

Bonzo Finance Co-Founder & CEO Brady Gentile shared a comprehensive update on the $BONZO Token Generation Event (TGE) in the Bonzo Finance Discord. For those not on Discord, here’s a snapshot of the highlights and milestones achieved so far:

  • Transparency First: Emphasis on the importance of keeping the community informed every step of the way, sharing insights into the groundwork behind activities independently  being performed by various supporting organizations.

  • Milestones in Progress:

    • Smart contract audits (Halborn) for token treasury management and NFT claims.

    • UI/UX design for seamless NFT token claims and staking.

    • SaucerSwap V2 pool approval and DAO governance proposals.

    • Market maker engagements to ensure liquidity across DeFi pools.

    • Cross-promotion efforts with ecosystem partners and high-level marketing activities.

  • TGE Timeline: The event is targeted for early to mid-February, with final dates to be announced soon.

🎉 HederaCon 2025 at ETH Denver

The Bonzo Finance Labs team is heading to HederaCon this February in Denver, CO! Co-Founder & CEO Brady Gentile will be presenting, alongside Bonzo Finance Labs team members in attendance.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority launched a "supervisory incubator" to help banks adopt blockchain safely. Focused on tokenized deposits, the initiative bridges traditional finance with blockchain innovation.

🏢 Capital Group Backs Metaplanet

Capital Group increased its stake in Metaplanet, now the 15th-largest public Bitcoin holder with 1,762 BTC. Since adopting a Bitcoin treasury strategy, Metaplanet’s share price has soared over 1,700%.
